CLUBS @ SKACAS
Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science endeavours to provide the right prospects for channelizing the dynamisms of the youth and creating leaders among them. The institution has established a cluster of clubs namely “ADITHYA’S VIGNANA” which caters to the diverse interests of our students. The need of great importance is to create paths and platforms whereby the student can focus on his / her skills and aptitudes to self-development, wherein VIGNANA acts as a catalyst in propelling our students to reach higher altitudes and engage oneself in positive and productive activities.
Objectives of VIGNANA:
- To guide and encourage the students to convert their thoughts into innovations by creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus.
- To develop problem solving skills and critical thinking among students.
- To stimulate them set goals for the benefit of themselves and society
- To recognize leadership talents and provide opportunities for development.
- To upskill students’ knowledge on current affairs to confidently face many competitive exams.
- To motivate students to do research and publishing papers in high impact journals.

BUSINESS CLUB – Coordinated by the Department of Commerce, functions under the objective of encouraging innovation driven entrepreneurship among students. The club organizes various awareness programmes about Government Schemes and Subsidies for start-ups and MSMEs, conducts mock sessions for organizational planning and decision making, plans training programmes and workshops to instill business skills and serves as a platform for networking with successful business leaders. HOT BRAINS – The Department of B.Com PA regulates this intellectual forum which aims at upskilling students’ knowledge on current affairs to confidently face UPSC, TNPSC and other competitive exams and also enables them to critically review different social and political issues from their own perspective.
RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS CLUB – Set up by the Department of B.Com CA motivates students conduct research and publish papers in high impact journals. The club supports the students in assisting them in understanding the practical nuances of research and enhance the quality of academic writing to be on par with international standards
PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB – The Department of B.Com CA established the photography club to foster artistic expression through capturing life-like images. The club helps in improving the technical skills of capturing and editing pictures using different tools and organizes webinars and workshops on Advanced Photography and videography techniques.
ART & CRAFT CLUB – The Department of B.Com PA coordinates this platform to enrich aesthetic values and nurture creativity through art and craft. The club plans activities for attaining social, emotional, mental and physical benefits through engagement in art and craft works.
MARKETING CLUB – Department of B.Com AF and BBA CA oversees the club to educate on marketing strategies with various activities for providing real-time exposure. It facilitates the student community to be abreast with the latest happenings around the marketing world and invent strategies for making and marketing new products
CORPORATE CLUB – Synchronized by the Department of B.Com CS & IT, the club aspires to inculcate knowledge on corporate relationship management to the students and prepare students to develop vocational readiness and transcend self to the work scenario. The club targets to conduct exchange programs and internships with corporates and help students to understand corporate culture and business ethics.
CENTRE FOR WOMEN EXCELLENCE – Set up by the Department of B.Com CS & IT intents to create awareness among women to realise their roles and responsibilities; manage risk and improve their economic status and wellbeing. The club coordinates 3 days or 5 days training programmes once in 2 months to the rural women on entrepreneurship and guides them to take financial decisions and improve their business.
CENTER FOR LEGAL ADVICE – Department of B.Com CS & IT regulates the club with the objective of launching Legal Advice Extension Centre in association with Coimbatore District Court within the campus. The club is helpful in providing legal advice to the students, teaching and non-teaching staff regarding various concerns.
STUDENTS’ RECREATIONAL CLUB – Department of B.Com BPS has set up the club to create an environment that provides exceptional recreation and rejuvenation to enhance physical, psychological and emotional development by providing relaxation from the hassles of academic pressure. The club organizes various events such as ADZAP, Market Mayhem, App God, Like You, Shipwreck and Turn coat debates etc.
EVENT MANAGEMENT CLUB – Organized by the Department of B.Com BPS intends to inculcate the habit of organizing and managing professional events, promoting a creative bent and inventive thinking among students. Opportunities are created for students to organize programmes with restricted budget and to conduct events in corporate or small scale sectors.
FINANCE AND INVESTMENT CLUB – Department of B.Com B&I and Finance atunes the club with the ambition of imbibing sound knowledge on mutual funds, insurance and other investments. The club educates the students on different means of investment such as stock markets, insurance, SIPs and other means of investment, Insurance schemes.
CONSUMER CLUB – Synchronized by the Department of B.Com B&I and Finance designed the club to familiarize the Consumer Protection Act 1986 and other Indian laws related to consumer rights. It functions in the direction of educating local communities and instilling right-consciousness, confidence to question violations of consumer rights.
APP DEVELOPMENT CLUB – The Department of Computer Science harmonizes the club with a scheme to provide a platform and bring together a community of programmers and app developers. The students are encouraged to work on development of user-interface applications for iOS, Android and other web-based programmes, based on user requirements .
ECO CLUB – Coordinated by the Department of Computer Technology, functions under the umbrella of inculcating the habit of maintaining their surroundings green and clean. The club organizes campaigns and other activities against ecological degradation and sensitizes students towards nature conservation.
CODING CLUB – Department of Computer Technology regulates the club with the plan of developing expertise in coding and qualify the students as certified programmers. The club enhances understanding of the practical applications of different programming languages.
HELPING HANDS CLUB – Department of Computer Technology synchronizes the club with the motto of inculcating social responsibility in students, through community-based events. The club holds fund-raising events to help the needy people, conducts medical camps in rural areas and represents the requirements of the communities to the concerned authorities and ensure action-taken.
NETWORK CLUB – Department of Information technology regulates the club with the objective of developing a lucrative career in networking. The club facilitates the students to acquire knowledge on different types of network cables and practically implementing the cross-wired cable and straight-through cable using clamping tool.
ORGANIC FARMING CLUB – Coordinated by the Department of Information Technology, the club aspire to introduce students to the practice of organic farming. The club offers hands-on experience by engaging students as farmers overseeing a small plot of land and prepares compost with green vegetable waste collected from the hostel mess.
CYBER 360° – Department of Computer Application organizes the club under the objective of promoting social media activities and sharing resources on cyber activities. The club holds events to create awareness on Cyber bullying and Cyber security and conducts competitions to improve the same.
ANIMATION CLUB – Synchronized by the Department of Computer Application, the club functions to develop and share knowledge on animation techniques. The students are trained on different animation techniques, art attack activities and are motivated to create animated short films.
HACKERS’ CLUB – Department of Computer Application harmonizes the club with the intent of collaborating on programming, designing and creating applications for real-life problems. The club promotes computational thinking in students and prepares them to participate in state and national level Hackathons.
MATH CLUB – Coordinated by the Department of Mathematics, the club proposes to develop mathematical abilities and analytical skills in young minds. Math Bingo, solving rubix cubes, conducting math quiz and blogspot and presentations on mathematical techniques are some of the highlighted activities of the club.
COMMUNICATIVE CLUB OF EXCELLENCE – Department of English runs the club to foster effective oral and written communication in our students. The club enhances the ability of students to express thoughts and ideas in public with fluency, confidence and to get rid of stage fear. It also facilitates the students to develop Interview Skills through Group Discussions, public Speaking, Role Play and Extempore.
CRITICS CLUB – Department of English synchronizes the club to encourage extensive reading and develop critical and creative thinking in students. The students are motivated to develop aesthetic understanding of criticism and critical reading of literary texts. The club also screens famous critiques of historically, politically and socially acclaimed works of art.
THEATER CLUB – Coordinated by the Department of English, the club intends to mould students as effective theatre artists by developing vocal, physical and imaginative skills and promoting artistic interest and experience. The club hosts live sessions with dramatists and stage actors and organizes street plays in the campus and in the public arena concentrating on contemporary social issues.
MIND ENGINEERS CLUB – The Department of Psychology coordinates the club with the objective of enhancing the holistic wellbeing of students and developing a sense of positivity in young minds. The club aims to employ art therapy techniques to explore the students’ minds, through their favourite art forms and facilitate behaviour modification exercises for overcoming negative habits.
ஆதித்ய தொல்லியல் மன்றம் – நோக்கம்: தமிழ்மொழியின் தொன்மையான கலைகளை உற்று நோக்கல், ஆய்வு செய்தல்|இயல் இசை, நாடகம், இலக்கியங்கள், நூல்கள் பற்றிய பார்வையை விரிவாக்குதல்
கணினித் தமிழ் மன்றம் – கணினித் தமிழ் சார்ந்த அறிவை மாணவர்களுக்கு அளித்தல். செயல்பாடுகள்: தமிழில் தட்டச்சு செய்தல், குறுஞ்செயலிகள் உருவாக்குதல், வலைப்பூக்கள் உருவாக்குதல், விக்கித் திட்டங்களில் பங்களிப்புச் செய்தல்.
சிரிப்போம் சிந்திப்போம் மன்றம் – நோக்கம்: நகைச்சுவை வாயிலாக மாணவர்களின் மனதில் ஒரு நற்சிந்தனையை பதிய வைப்பதோடு, சமூக கருத்துக்களையும், சமூக அவலங்களையும் எடுத்துரைத்து அதன் குறைகளைக் களைந்து, நன்மையைக் கடை பிடிக்க அறிவுறுத்தும் வகையில் செயல்படுதல்
தமிழர் பண்பாட்டு மன்றம் – நோக்கம் :பார் போற்றும் தமிழர் பண்பாடுகளை அறியவைத்தல். மேலும் இயற்கையை தமிழர் போற்றிய முறையை இன்றைய மாணவர்கள் மேற்கொள்ளும் விதமாக கருத்தரங்கம் வாயிலாக மாணவர்களின் சிந்தனையை வளர்த்தல்.
