Department of Computer Applications

B.Sc Data Science program provides a solid grounding in the programming tools and the techniques of understanding data through advanced visualization methods and statistical analysis; applying machine learning and deep learning models in the cloud to solve business problems with a sound understanding of the processes that generate data. This Data Science degree aims to prepare students to take up challenging careers in deploying cutting-edge algorithms across verticals such as e-commerce, mobility, telecom, healthcare, consumer goods, automotive among others, with a focus on functional areas of marketing and finance.

Qualifying from a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science in the under graduation, prepares students as industry ready practitioners, with expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Statistics and Data Visualization, all of which constitutes the need of the hour.

OBJECTIVE

Objectives:

  • This 3-year course is designed in such a way that graduates can perform and conduct data-driven investigations by managing and visualizing all types of data.
  • Students will understand the concept and develop an in-depth understanding of data science and data analytics.
  • Teach students the basic techniques and procedures to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to arrive at solutions by identifying the pattern, predict trends and analyze data sets from different sectors
