Combating COVID 19

“Helping students find a path to purpose is one of the noblest aspects of teaching”. True to this adage, Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science which is one of the biggest edtech hubs in the state has converged to online learning and teaching as COVID-19 sweeps the world at an alarming pace. The institution has taken many productive and proactive ways to make the students continue their learning. Online Model examinations were conducted and evaluated through ICT enabled classroom, Online Coaching and Revision Classes are carried out with scheduled timetable, Webinars are organised with experts for the wellbeing of the students.

Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science in association with CMC Hospital, Coimbatore created an awareness campaign on Corona Virus the students issued pamphlets describing the symptoms & precautions of Coronavirus. As a first step to adore womanhood, the institution distributed horlicks and clothes to 250 mothers and infants in CMC hospital. This awareness campaign was carried out by the students and the faculty members in the adopted villages of the college by demonstrating and distributing hand wash and sanitizers. An online Quiz on Combating COVID 19 was conducted among the public to create awareness on Coronavirus which received an excellent response with more than 4000 participation and issued e-certificate. “Poetry Writing” and “Drawing Competition” on COVID 19 were conducted for school children so as to make the children envisage the healthcare measures and to provide a better understanding of the immediate need for combating Coronavirus. It witnessed an overwhelming response with a total participation of 545 students across Tamilnadu and received their e-certificates. The Institution have also organiseda ten day Placement Preparedness “ E-Training Webinar sessions” to equip the pre final year students on the various aspects of soft skills viz Communication Skills, Interpersonal skills, Problem solving, Decisiveness, Emotional intelligence, Interview skills and Impression Management, Corporate Etiquette handled by a plethora of Industry experts and elite Corporate Trainers. E-Career Guidance is organised for the class 12 students and their parents to help them choose their right career and to give direction for the best of the opportunities ahead with the leading experts in the field. Online Certification Courses is offered in the streams of Commerce and English to help the students and faculty to be focused on their subject of interest and to pave a great way of making the best of a bad situation.

Despite the global pandemic, Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science finds ways to progress, since it is sure of its vision and mission.
