Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science

The Department of Commerce in Business Process Services (BPS) is an very unique three year full time, Under Graduate Program which got its roots at Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science in June 2017. The course is designed to furnish the Knowledge towards Business Process Services by bridging the gap between the academic and Corporate Exposure and to equip the students to take on leadership roles in an increasingly complex and dynamic global scenario. The Programme would meet the demand of graduates who could be self-employed or to seek jobs in business process organizations. Confederating the academic foundations and industry requirements has always been a lacuna that needs to be filled. A step towards filling this void has materialized, as our college has signed a MoU with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) along with Bharathiar University, with the latter providing its expertise in Business Process Services. The syllabus of this Programme has been approved by the Board of Studies, Bharathiar University. This programme retains the essence of the traditional   B. Com programme at the same time throws open a new gamut of opportunities in new generation business as well. This programme will enrich the students with relevant skills to manage business process which will meet the demands of the industry apart from fundamental education. Employability is promising in the BPS industry as well as in any industry that is pertaining to managing business process such as Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Retail Market and Tourism.

Objectives of the Course

  • To give an insight into Business process, practice, services and various Functional areas of Business.
  • To impart Skills that will be useful in taking Decisions and Managing Business.
  • To develop the persona of students and make them responsible citizens with greater awareness about Business, Society and Ethics in Business.

  • The Academic plan, Study materials, Lecture plans are sent to the students one week beforehand of their sessions through Google Classroom.
  • All the classes are outfitted with Smart Boards and the department encourages on E-Learning and M-Learning to keep pace with global technology Vogue and enhancing traditional instruction with technology to prepare the students for success in their work place.
  • Each and Every student’s needs and their regularity in classes are incessantly observed through Tutor Ward Meeting and Parent- Teacher meeting.
  • The students who are weak in their subjects are given special attention and endow support by conducting Remedial classes.
  • The department organizes Guest Lecture programs for the students of B.Com BPS and B&I once in a month.
  • Administers customized Training Program for Business and Industry by offering Tally Certification in tie up with Tally academy.
  • Spoken Tutorial Certification is offered by the Department for the students endeavoring for independent thinking and Personal growth.
  • The department upholds a high standard of performance, to the accomplishment of academic and professional desire by offering National Accounting Talent search Examination, Economic Talent Examination.
  • The department has Commerce cubicle student association which organizes Product Launch, Youth Assembly, Business plan, AD round, Orphanage Visit, Out Bound Program, Business Quiz, Debate, Inter collegiate meet and Managerial interface program to participate in various events and competitions which showcases the students talent as well as their organizational and leadership skills.
  • Each and every student is guided by a Mentor, to present and publish papers in various State, National and International Level conference and seminars and Department encourages the students to attend the National and International Workshops to enhance their research skills.
