
Dr. M. Swapna, Dean of Languages is a distinguished academician with over 17 years of teaching experience and 15 years of research expertise in English, specializing in Indian Writing in English. She currently serves as Associate Professor and Dean of Languages, where she exemplifies excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Her career reflects a sustained commitment to enhancing communication skills and empowering learners through innovative and learner-centric pedagogical practices. Renowned for her analytical acumen, collaborative approach, and effective leadership, she has made significant contributions to student development and institutional advancement.
Her academic profile is enriched by notable research contributions, including 21 peer-reviewed publications and presentations at 19 national and international conferences. She has authored three books and contributed chapters to edited volumes, while actively participating in faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars, and online courses to continually update her expertise. As a research supervisor, she has successfully produced three Doctorates and currently guiding four Ph.D research scholars. She has served as a resource person on several academic platforms. Her contributions have been recognized with the International Academic Leader Award in 2021, and her leadership credentials are further evidenced by her tenure as a Senate Member of Bharathiar University (2022–2025) and her role as Co-editor of the college newsletter.
